Stuck on "Verifying DNS…"

Why it takes time

When you change a DNS record, the change has to spread to internet providers around the world. Most of the time that takes a few minutes. Sometimes it takes a few hours, and in rare cases up to 48 hours. Dunea keeps checking and switches to Connected on its own.

Check your record

If it has been more than an hour, check these at your domain provider:

• The record type is CNAME (or ALIAS / ANAME for a root domain).
• The name is www for www, or @ for the root domain. Some providers want only the first part: type www, not www.yourdomain.com.
• The value is exactly sites.dunea.app, with no https:// and no slash at the end.
• There is no other record with the same name. An old A record or CNAME for the same name must be removed.
• On Cloudflare, the proxy status is DNS only (grey cloud).

Check it from outside

Free tools like dnschecker.org show whether the world can see your record yet. Search for your domain with the CNAME type. When most locations show sites.dunea.app, Dunea will connect it shortly after.

Start over

If you typed the wrong domain, press Cancel & disconnect and connect it again. If it still is not connected after 48 hours, message us on Discord with the domain name.
